A Sweet Family Affair

One of the sweetest brides was featured in Southern Weddings Magazine! I couldn’t have been more excited when Camille contacted me to build 3 custom tables for her 19 wedding guests. Camille and Mark were joining families, both their second marriage and truly focused on having a family affair. She called at a perfect time. I wanted more tables and she needed them. So she chose the colors, the size and away we went. The wedding took place at The Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, NC and they had an amazing team including Camille herself who is a photographer. Now onto the candy!

Real Wedding: Kaitlyn & Joey

Back in September we had the honor of being a part of Kaitlyn and Joey’s wedding day. The ceremony took place at a private residence that set the beautiful and relaxed Southern wedding. We have to say that it was gorgeous weather and a perfect backdrop. Enjoy!

In August we were contacted by Erica Prewett of A Big To Do Event to be a part of a photo shoot for Occasions Magazine. Erica had to show her perspective on the pallet she was given. Finally Won Him Over!

We have a beautiful Sofa and Loveseat to add to the inventory. I love it. It’s bold color will show beautifully in photos. With fall quickly approaching it’s warm maroon will be quite the backdrop for your special events. What I love more is how this set came to me.

My father has been a huge role in my business. He is my number one cheerleader, personal shopper, carpenter, and delivery muscle. He is also very vocal about his dislike of these ornate pieces. He looks at me as if I am crazy when I point something out. So, I was pleasantly surprised Saturday morning when he called to say he had purchased a matching sofa and loveseat. He described it as Victorian and a blush red? Uh oh. What have I done? Then I received the pictures. I couldn’t have been more proud. All those times that I told him not this fabric, not that color, not that style had finally paid off. Just when I thought he was unteachable he surprised me again. Thanks dad. Now let’s find a hot bride to be to rock this thing!

We had so much fun at the First Annual Open House at Vinewood Weddings and Events. It’s a beautiful venue and everything — the food, the decor, the ambience, even the weather — was perfect. So many awesome people, so many interesting conversations…Hats off to Vinewood for hosting such a groovy and elegant soiree!

A Busy Month!

It’s has been about a month since we introduced ourselves and have had an incredible response, met lots of awesome people and have almost out grown our space. We had the pleasure of adding some vintage and rustic touches to a booth at the Midtown Pop Up Wedding Event. Lovelee Affairs and Adaptation Floral Design did an incredible job incorporating pieces to create a beautiful rustic tablescape.
We have shopped our little hearts out adding some good anchor pieces to out inventory. 50′s weddings are making a comeback and we think this sofa would be an awesome piece for an engagement shoot to set the tone for your big day!. We have a collection of project pieces that need some love we are diligently working on to make your event spectacular! It has been an amazing month and we look forward to another! Thank you from the the girls at Something Borrowed!!!
